Olympism is a philosophy of life that celebrates and combines all the qualities of body, will, and mind. By blending sport with culture and education, Olympism seeks to create a way of life based on the joy of effort and respect for fundamental ethical principles.
Olympic education is a pedagogical process of systematic and planned acquisition of knowledge about Olympism and the Olympic Movement in general.
Olympic education programs promote Olympic values with the aim that participants adopt and apply them in their everyday lives. One of the goals of these programs is to enable as many children as possible in our country to experience the spirit of Olympism firsthand, through social interaction and play, and to learn more about the history of the Olympic Movement and the Olympic Games.
Special emphasis is placed on spreading and nurturing Olympic ideals, principles, and philosophy, respect for fair play and rules, non-violence in sport, awareness of equality, solidarity, tolerance, understanding, and mutual respect in sport regardless of race, religion, gender, or nationality, as well as environmental protection.
